Estate pub that is more sports bar than pub. It was quite busy on our Saturday lunchtime visit with a local kids football team meeting up either before or after their match, people watching live Premier League football on multiple TVs and others playing pool.
Kids were going in and out to a patio area, where there was a bouncy castle. The pub has a fairly friendly feel. Although everybody seemed to know one another. We were most likely the only strangers in.
This pub has made its way into the latest Good Beer Guide. Although, I wasn't too impressed with its offerings. Ruddles Best is the regular beer. 2 guests were Marston's Pedigree & Oakham Inferno.
There was a second room to the right-hand side of the entrance. We didn't explore that one. I got the impression that there was hardly anybody in there, if any at all.
