Tired hotel that needs a bit of a tart up to say the least, a typical hotel bar, in the corner of the ground floor but with views over Whitby. No real ale here, standard keg lager and average drinks. The Victorian seating outside the hotel entrance is nice enough

At Easter 2008 we had an enjoyable 3 nights stay here. The food was good and you were not paying an arm and a leg for the beer.We also found the evening entertainment in the large ballroom excellent.
