Sam Smiths brewery tap located just outside the brewery, a strangely Elizabethian atmosphere pervades this place with lots of natural wood, stone flagsand fireplacces and some panelling. Furnished with comfy bench seating and tables and chairs. Two pulls with Old Brewery Bitter plus the usual load of kegs taps. Beer quality here was not what you might expect from a brewery tap. Bizarrely the only Taddy pub in the GBG 2020, the beer in the Royal Oak and the Jackdaw is much better.

The Sam smith brewery tap that has a large central bar with different rooms leading off it with seating and real open fires. this being the brewery tap is a bit more modern (but not in a tacky way) than sam Smiths pubs usually are but has been done to a very nice standard. the full range of beers was available including both light and dark mild and a somewhat one off india ale that most or any other Sam smiths pubs stock. i had the OBB at the usual £1.80 and this was a nice pint but my pint in the royal oak earlier was kept better in my opinion. I tied a sip of the india ale which was £2.92 but it was far to cold and fizzy for my liking. an all round good pub in the center that was well heated and very comfy. I would defiantly return if in Tadcaster and you have the added bonus of seeing the shire horses in their stables from the back window of the pub.

The Angel and White Horse is a largish old pub that is stone built and is samuel Smiths brewery tap.
Once inside here the pub has been opened out but has different drinking areas,i thought the pub was quite nice with a cosy feel to it.
I had a drink of hand pulled Old Brewery bitter and this was a very nice drink.
Not a bad pub to have a few drinks in.

A Georgian styled Sam Smiths pub/eatery in undressed stone; a former coaching inn on the High St, with accommodation, rear patio and stabling for horses!

The interior is open plan, in an ‘F’ shape, with the serving bar nestled between the two outstretched arms of the F. This area is the bar, the elongated area is more a lounge/dining area. The décor has red in the bar area, with wood panel in the lounge, along with a wood colour painted higher wall and ceiling. There is a raised area at the end of the lounge, slightly screened by a stone and wood fireplace. There are general prints on the walls, with brewing and horses featuring significantly and odd bits of ephemera. I didn’t eat here. The service was fine and the clientele mixed locals. There was no background music, or a TV.

Beer; usual Sam Smiths tap stuff with decent MILD. The untried bitter was on handpull.

A more than happy experience and I would willingly return

Sams brewery tap a bit of a let down for what should be the breweries show piece establishment. Rather basic with a food offering. Rear courtyard for warm weather is adjacent to the brewery stables.
## GBG 2008 listed ##

Sorry picture shows signs of to much beer.

Nice pub but a 200 mile round trip turned out a little disappointing when this Sam Smith's pub next to Sam Smith's brewery doesn't sell Nut Brown Ale
