ROB Camra left this review about The Albion

A good looking traditional pub that has been opened out from what was probably a 3 roomed layout. The bar is ahead of you as you enter with a further room to the right and another, which probably used to be the tap room, to the rear right. Quite busy on my Thursday lunchtime visit mainly with old boys and girls coming in for food. The 2 staff were very friendly and the barmaid was chatty. 4 handpumps on the go with Leeds Pale, Theakstons Quencher, Castle Rock Flanker and my beer of choice Settle Blonde. The Settle was in very good nick. I can see me coming back here when Ms CAMRA does shopping things. It's a bit of an oasis of peace with great beer.

Much as described by OB five years ago, the beers on the four hand pumps on this occasion were Leeds Pale (in very good condition), Butcombe Bitter, Ossett Blonde and Theakstons Best Bitter. It seems Butcombe is the regular tipple of choice here, as my Leeds Pale came in a Butcombe branded glass, for which the very attractive and competent bar maid apologised. There was a large crowd at the bar when I arrived, but the two servers dealt with the rush very well. Like OB, I can't see myself coming back here any time soon, but this back street local, winner of a Camra award for local community pub of the year, clearly serves a loyal group of customers.

Old Boots left this review about The Albion Inn

Café bar atmosphere and décor but with some traditional pub furnishings and six pulls of fairly prosaic beers from Theaksons and Caledonian although they also had an Adnams Ghostship and Butcombe Bitter. The Butcombe was well kept but short measured. Biggish garden. Nice enough but I won't need one of their loyalty cards in spite of the GBG listing.

Small friendly stone built traditional Victorian pub just off the high street. A Theakston house serving two guest ales on my visit Everards Sunchaser and Castle Rock Preservation, both were well kept.

This is a decent pub on a back street but close to the town centre.
This seemed more of a locals pub but it seemed friendly enough there was only one real ale on which was Tetley bitter and this was a decent drink.
This pub was quite comfy inside and i would be happy having a few drinks here.
