Steve C left this review about Sibson Inn

Previously a farm dating back to 1670, the Sibson Inn is a coaching inn with nineteen en-suite rooms in the farmhouse and outlying buildings. Being directly adjacent to the northbound carriageway of the A1 the triple glazed windows in the bar and guest rooms are a much-needed necessity. During a recent overnighter, I found the room to be basic, but this matched the very reasonable pricing.
The old farmhouse has been converted into an L shaped bar with seating to the right of the front entrance and serving counter to the left that faces seating that runs to the accommodation reception at the rear. To the far right is a dining area where I had a very nice full English for breakfast. Breakfast is served for residents and non-residents from 07:00 during the week and 08:30 at the weekend. I gleaned from the menu that the evening mains, served from 18:00 until 21:00, start at £12 for a lasagne.
Available from the bar was a cask offering of Grainstore’s Red Kite alongside a keg selection of Tetleys Smooth, San Miguel, Carlsberg, Guinness and Appleshed Cider. There was one other group in attendance on the Thursday evening I visited, I believe they were taking advantage of the conference rooms during the day. There was some background music playing and I didn’t spot any televisions.
This pub cannot be accessed by foot so it is never going to feature in a pub crawl, but I will stay here again when next visiting Stamford.

The Sibson is a lovely old pub chock-a-block full of character. The food is excellent and the beer is good. It is extremely convenient for both Peterborough and Stamford
