A distinctive brewers' tudor pub with two sides, both refurbished to a fair standard. One side has a pool table, but is still quite smart; the other is stylishly plush and comfortable. Certainly more upmarket than many of the local pubs and possibly more of a dining than drinking pub but still quite pleasant. Two handpumps carried brews from Pennine: Yorkshire Green and Millie George, in good condition.

Called in for the first time in a while as I had heard that the useless muppets who ran it have moved on. Much brighter and cleaner than last time we were in and the tap room especially has been transformed. Has 6 handpumps but only 1 beer was on which was Wold Top's Voluptuous Vicky, it was fine. One other pump had a turned round TT Landlord clip on it but the others were empty. Still a way to go before it gets back to where it was, but at least a start has been made. Keep it going guys.
