Yes it's true the inside is weird, every wall and ceiling is covered with stuff, rugby shirts, flags, dangly bits, things, drums, there are two pool tables to one side and tractor seats and photos. The decor has a strong Loyalist content, Glasgow Rangers, the Red Hand and King Billy being prominent. The locals are not the usual either, they thought I was mad having only a half at £1.30 when a pint was £1.50, if I tell you the beer was some Cameron's smooth stuff of 3.6% you can make your own mind up about who's mad. If it had decent beer it would be unmissable, actually go and see it anyway, pubs like this don't come along every day. It's care in the community but the other side of Ireland is just across the road in The Merchant.

Always call in its rough and ready were all the not rights hang out know by the locals of Scarborough as the Stabbers.
The parrots dead the have made a shrine for it told a dog got it and the landlord as a contract out to kill the dog.
Still smells the same its worth calling in to read the stuff on the walls

Different. I did notice the sectarian stuff on the walls, but then i really dont give a flying monkey about things like that, as i know i just pop in to try a beer. You can go to whole swathes of places in Brum that are Irish themed pubs and happily show it, so if thats what the owners want to do, thats their choice, they live with the business decision.

Different is the parrot, who sits in a non-sectarian way, on his perch, unpaid

What i was in turmoil about was the painful strains offered by the karaoke singers, under the guise of popular music. Dulled for just a short period by half of Cameron's Smooth, which again was different to the other pubs, i actually thought it was the parrot that was singing, until he asked me to leave for my insulting behaviour.

Overall verdict - different!
