Update for Spring 2010.
The Station appears to be under new management, opening hours look to be a bit longer and the range of ales now includes Black Sheep Bitter and reasonably well kept Copper Dragon Golden Pippin. There is also a small range of more interesting bottles than the run of the mill sorts.

Last pub in the city as you travel northwards just before crossing North Bridge from the West Riding into the North Riding, the station was even further from the city centre than the pub named after it. Two bars, a traditional public to the left curving round to the back, and a smaller lounge on the right at the front . The soon to be made outside Leeds Tetleys Cask on handpull plus a brace of lagers and and John Smiths smooth flow. Slippery looking red leather benches in a conventionally decorated room still showing a few interesting signs of a 1930s refurb, a pool table takes up rather a lot of room at the back of the public bar. Very quiet on my visit, just the landlord plus one middle aged bloke.
