Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Arden Arms

Roadside pub that does not open during the day, except on a Sunday. We arrived shortly after its 4pm opening time and the immediate assumption from the barmaid was that we were there to eat. This is most definitely a diners pub, first and foremost. There is one main room as you enter from the car park, with a couple of small side rooms near the kitchen. All tables were laid out with condiments for dining. On the other side of the bar itself is the smaller public bar, with a pool table and a TV.

We were the only customers during our visit to this pub. You can certainly see why local pubs don't attempt to open during the day. The beer choice is also disappointing. Theakston Best Bitter is the regular ale. Guests were Black Sheep Best Bitter & Morland Old Golden Hen. There is a large car park to the side.
