Bar to right with a long room on the left. One weak real ale, rest keg. Nothing special.

Old Boots left this review about The Nags Head

The last pub in Northallerton's very long High Street at the southern end, it's small with low ceilings, an open plan layout with the counter and a small bar to the right otherwise a long dining area. The small bar area is fairly traditional in style and fittings, there is a dart board and associated trophies, the pub team plays in the local league. The room is fitted with bench seating and cast iron base tables, the walls are plain white and are decorated with pictures and photographs some on military themes. John Smiths cask as the only traditional beer on the two handpumps, a little cold but decently kept, otherwise a standard keg line up. A bit staid but this is basically a well run, down to earth town boozer of the old style.
