custodian 42 left this review about The County Arms

Just been taken over and there are no signs outside so not that easy to find. Two hand pumps, one on. One big room with bar to rear. Pool table to right side. Loads of flashing lights on the wall and lights on the roof, but still a dark place. Needs some doing out.

Old Boots left this review about The County Arms

Not quite on the High Street in spite of its address the pub is round the corner on the road leading to Applegarth carpark. The pub is basically one large room in various shades of blue, the corners have bench seating in leatherette that has seen better days, otherwise tables and chairs. There's a pool table at one end and darts at the other, both ends have a TV and there's a big pull down projection screen in the middle. The bar and other woodwork is in an old dark wood style and the geometric tiled floor is quite neat, it's rather too modernised without being up to date. It feels bare and cold. Only bog standard keg beers although there are two unused handpumps at one end of the counter. Live music every Friday is advertised.
