Old Boots left this review about Black Swan Inn

A very rare beast in this part of the world, a real village pub and not only is it not a gastropub, although it does have a separate restaurant, it has proper separate Public and Lounge bars. A whitewashed, pebbledashed double fronted building on a slight rise above the village's main road, there is only one other road. Entering the lobby with village notices covering the board, the public bar is to the right and the lounge to the left. The public is sparcely furnished and decorated, a pool table sits in the bay window and the dart board is on the back wall, bench seating runs down one side and the bar counter down the other. There are a fair number of bar stools and a few tables and that's about it for the public. The lounge is about the same size and is decorated in minmalist trendy grey with added twigs, the tiled fireplace is very nice. Furniture in here is sofas and leather armchairs. At the back of the lounge is “Woody's” restaurant. Three handpumps plus a T-bar and separate fonts for the usual kegs in the lounge. The public has two more pulls plus a solitary lager and a lonely cider font. John Smiths Cask, Black Sheep bitter and a guest from Copper Dragon were the real ale offering. The pub supports teams playing in local cricket, darts and pool leagues.
