Real Ale Ray left this review about Marquis Of Granby Inn

I have rated the Marquis an eight as you can see, purely for its splendid interior and for the friendly manager and well behaved customers. I don't really get on with Sam Smiths ales so I settled on a quick half of one of their Sam Smith lagers.

Old Boots left this review about Marquis Of Granby Inn

Magnificent brick built, solid, detached, Victorian boozer of 1899, the interior is also a magnificent example of a Victorian multiroom pub, although recently and sympathetically decorated. To the left on entering the tiled hallway is the main bar room, to the right a sitting room which is like a domestic sitting room equipped with pub furniture. Behind is another bar room and beyond that a small sitting room with darts board. Open fires in both main rooms, the furnishing and décor is very traditional with some splendid photographs of old Knaresborough and the River Nidd and its gorge. A Sam Smiths pub so only Old Brewery Bitter at low temperature plus Sam's usual kegs all at very low prices. The pub was very busy when I called on a Saturday lunchtime with the oldies in the front bar and the youngsters in the back one.

Alan Winfield left this review about Marquis Of Granby Inn

The Marquis of Granby is about a 5 minuite walk from the middle of Knaresborough.
This is a decent looking pub and once inside there were a few different rooms i went in the room at the front which was fairly busy.
This is a Samuel Smiths tied house and there was their one real ale on the bar which was Old Brewery bitter and this was a very nice drink, this is a really nice unaltered pub that secret brewery Samuel Smiths are good at doing.
