A fair-sized old pub with a view out to sea, at least when the trees are not in leaf. It is a fairly-conventional family-friendly seaside sort of pub with a slightly strange layout on two levels, as well as a function/overflow room downstairs. Despite various signs hinting at sundry Marstons group ales, there was just Hobgoblin Gold on handpump, plus a couple of Lilley's fruit ciders. Condition was ok though.

Large corner pub, that sold Banks's. No MILD, so a Banks's bitter, despite being a shock presence, was fine as it was a safe drink. We didnt eat, but everything looked fine and the portions seemed a decent size from what others ordered. There was Sky TV as i watched some match in here.
Overall I thought the pub was decent and the bar staff were very friendly.

nice pub with good food.The landlord is a character but i thought he was scottish,sounds more like a wahay
