Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Cross Keys Inn

Historic inn located in a prime position opposite the landmark Market Cross. Attractive exterior, with a reurbished entrance leading to the bar area to one side and a pool room to the other. Modern furniture, but generally limited decor. Just four of six handpumps were working, and my pint of Wolf Golden Jackal (£3.30) was not very good. Adnams Southwold, 6X and Woodforde's Ketts Rebelion also available. Rather disappointed, but perhaps I caught it on a bad day for the beer.

Real Ale Ray left this review about The Cross Keys Inn

The building dates from the 16th Century, the pub was sold to Youngs Brewery in 1864. The pub is now a freehold and have to say the manager runs a very good establishment. The pub consists of a main lounge and bar with log burning stove. There was also a large games room on the right, which was oak panelled. There were six ales on handpump on our visit, I went for the Woodfordes Once Bittern and Skinners Cornish Trawler. Their ales were top notch and enjoyed a few games of pool.
