Curious little pub with separate bars front and rear. Most notable for offering a wide range of beers, including its own mini-festivals.

Received Camra pub of the year 2011. I really enjoyed our visit here, I thought the staff were very friendly and their choice of six ales were very well kept. The pub consisted of a comfortable lounge and small public bar. The barside had a pool table, jukebox and keg fonts on the bar. All the handpump ales were served in the lounge side. I went for the Wolf Brewery Cavell and Werewolf.

Locally sourced real ale (and cider) and Greek themed food in this smallish pub close to the sea front. The beer choice is excellent and the menu also includes snacks, sandwiches and non Greek choices. Two outside drinking areas at the rear (sea views from one) with benches and chairs, some under cover for dodgy weather. Good service.

The Windham Arms appears to be an old cottage style building, rendered in white, which could be Victorian, Georgian, or even earlier.

There are two rooms, one of which I didn't see. It was 'open plan' in that it was a single room decorated in blue and white with photos of Santorini on the walls. This matched the Greek themed menu.
As it was lunchtime, we didn't eat the Greek food, opting instead for a crab sandwich and salad, which was very nice.

I don't believe that the interior had been 'messed around with'. Structurally it still looked like an old cottage!

The bar was small at the far end of the room. There was the usual tap stuff and six real ales - Woodforde's Wherry, Admiral's Reserve and Nog, and Wolf Brewery Straw Dog, and Humpty Dumpty's Little Sharpie and Broadlands Sunrise. I tried the Admiral's Reserve, Little Sharpie and Nog. All three were delicious.

The customer base were holidaymakers eating lunch and locals having friendly banter with the bar staff. The bar staff were very polite and service was good.

All in all, I found this pub very comfortable and could easily have sat in here drinking all afternoon.

Highly recommended.

Greek landlord and lots of Greek food which everyone says is really good. Don't eat there myself (can't afford it really), but you should give it a try if you're in Sheringham (although not Sunday nights or all day Tuesday!).
