I'm surprised that mine is the first review of this pub on the site. Does that make it a hidden gem? There are five hand pumps (see photo) and a friendly welcome awaiting at the bar, and a real fire improving the ambience on a chilly day. My beer, from Green Jack brewery, was in fine condition, and we'd have liked to have stayed longer but had set ourselves a gruelling 10 pub crawl. This is one that I will definitely be coming back to.
