Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Lord Nelson

Very attractive riverfront pub, with a rectangular lounge offering bar billiards, piano and book exchange. Side dining area, and plenty of memorabilia in both rooms. Some benches out front, and a patio seating area (partially under a small marquee) on the other side of the road next to the river. Three of five handpumps, offering Greene King IPA, W J King Brighton Best and Green Jack Orange Wheat Beer (£3.20) plus sweet and dry King Fisher cider 7% in boxed form. However, the place was almost deserted on a Saturday afternoon when the other Reedham pubs all seemed busy so one wonders what has happened to the trade one would expect to be here. (NB - Review dates from September 2012.)

Real Ale Ray left this review about The Lord Nelson

I didn't think I would be giving this pub such a low rating, as from the outside it looks so idyllic. After visiting here and talking to a few people, we have all come to the same conclusion, that the place absolutely stinks. There is a dog near the bar area, which could be causing the musty odour, or it could be another source - who knows! On our arrival, the TV volume was really loud, but only one person was watching it. There was an open fire, but the rest of the pub was cold. The pub interior is tired and am sure if it changed hands, it would have a good re-vamp. My Humpty Dumpty ale was served in a Carlsberg glass and was cold. Kitchen is closed for winter, there's cornish pasties and pork pies available though.

Me and my sister went to this pub on thursday night and we had a fantastic time, they had some musicians in who got visitors to go up and play on some of their instruments and we had a great laugh, the staff were friendly and we felt part of the village. Thanks Sandragon and Lozibear

Very friendly pub, the new owners have only just opened it June 2008. Real ale on sale and food served all day. You can arrive by boat, the moorings outside belong to the pub. Outside seating also available.
