Back in Wroxham for our annual holiday I visited the Kings Head every day. Greene King IPA is still available at £3.05, accompanied by Greene King IPA Gold and another draught beer I did not recognise. WiFi is now available. The place still has not been refurbished and it needs to be. Still a useful place to have within walking distance.

We visit Wroxham each year, and I use the Kings Head almost every day we are here. The Woodforde’s real ales have gone, to be replaced by Greene King IPA (at £3.05,) and Charles Wells Bombardier. At the end of the week, the Bombardier was taken off, and there was a sign on the pump saying ‘Kings Head Bitter settling’. The barman told me they sometimes have Adnams and other beers on. The place still does a good trade, although it did not seem as busy this year, and neither was the town. The pub is looking tired with damp coming through in places, and it could do with a light refurbishment. A useful place to have a short walk from where we stay, and I shall be back next year.

This is a large waterside pub in Hoveton on the same side of the river as the Broads Hotel/Hotel Wroxham. There are three real ales available, but they are all Woodforde's, so if you do not like Woodforde's it is Tetley Smooth, Guinness or lager. The food is popular, but it looked a bit unappetising to me. The garden area is large and a pleasant place to sit. The down sides are it can get very busy to the point no indoor seats are available,(Sunday lunchtime as an example,) and the toilets are woefully inadequate for the size of the place. There is a covered smoking area in the garden with lights and heaters. If they are not on there is a sign informing you to ask the bar staff to switch them on. When I did, I was informed they had not worked for a couple of years, and would not be mended as they did not take money for the place, which is a strange view. Worth a visit, but not outstanding.
