Known as the Banningham Crown online, presumably to distinguish it from other Crowns in the area (at Reepham, Sheringham and Trunch, for example), this is a popular dining pub. At least, it certainly was on the Sunday afternoon when I called in as part of my cycle route in north Norfolk. It's a Greene King pub, with their IPA and Abbot on the bar alongside local(ish) Adnams Ghost Ship and Humpty Dumpty Farrier. I had never had Farrier before and it looked ok when poured for the previous customer, so I had a half and took a seat. Not much chance of exploring the pub, as it was pretty full both inside and out. My beer was unfortunately a bit flabby, with a hint of acetyl. Maybe it's supposed to taste like that, but its flabbiness was enough to get it a score of NBSS 2.5. Disappointing for a pub in the Good Beer Guide.
