E TA left this review about Acle Bridge Inn

An over-commercialised waterside pub and restaurant just outside the town. There is a large amount of car parking space, plenty of moorings for boats and a well-kept garden with tables, benches and on this occasion two marquees with more dining space. Inside, there are three separate areas, a bar, a dining room and a third that serves as both. The staff seemed a bit confused about where we could and couldn’t reserve tables, and where the dogs were allowed to go. Service was incredibly slow, and the food frankly not worth waiting for – laminated menus are never a good sign, and this was no exception. The fare was pre-made factory produced rubbish served in enormous portions and at prices which were as inflated as the waistlines of many of the diners. The beer wasn’t much better – 3 Adnams and a guest, Broadlands Rising Sun, none of them in very good condition. Useful as a pit stop if you’re coming up river from Yarmouth, but it isn’t a venue of choice.

The Bridge Inn at Acle Bridge did extremely well at the 2011 Broads Awards winning Awards for Best Kept Riverside Property, Most Child Friendly Pub and Best Pub Grub.
