Old Boots left this review about The Kings Head

Unutterably posh place, two rooms with a central servery flanked by a bar each side, hand pumps x 3 to the right, keg taps x4 to the left with more rooms off each side. A Georgian building with quarry tile floors and a few original fittings, modernised with blackboards, Regency prints, mirrors, stags heads and what not. A few tables out the front and a very big garden alongside, it had an open air play going on when I dropped in for a quick pint. It even advertises fish & chips with sparkling wine, “Fizz & Chips” gawd ‘elp uz! The gents has old pages from the Times as decor.

Phantom Pigeon left this review about The Kings Head

Since my last visit, two and a half years ago, The Kings Head has had a massive refurbishment, by Chris Coubrough, (a local celebrity chef?), and is now part of the Flying Kiwi Group.
This is no longer a pub. It is a restaurant that serves beer. In this case, a combination that doesn't work too well.
The food is expensive, but it is very good, as one would expect. But they do have jus on the menu, not gravy - A pet dislike of mine.
I had a pint of the Adnams Southwold bitter – I have had a lot better.
I have given a rating of 6, purely for the food and service.
