Situated directly opposite the Limes JDW the Bull is GBG 2017 listed. Inside it's a roughly L shaped room with the bar at the rear and wooden floors. It's a modern decor and possibly over modernised but that's probably being too picky. There was a fair crowd in despite the JDW across the road.
The bar has five hand pumps which had a cider, Woodforde's Wherry & Bures Gold, a rugby themed beer available soon and Caledonian Edinburgh Castle.
I went for the Wherry (£3.20) which was a pound dearer than the stronger Old Hooky over the road. There were enough folk in here who obviously think that's a price worth paying but given the dull mainstream beer choice here I wasn't one of them. Despite that I thought it was a decent pub and a good example of one which seems to be doing OK despite the JDW opposite.

Town pub refurbished with a modern, light decor but retaining a good pub feel. Enthusiastic landlord keeps a changing range of beers available, includinga mild; food also available. Clearly taking up the competition of a certain pub group who opened almost opposite.

Good Beer Guide listed pub and easily the best pub for beer drinkers in Fakenham. Modern light wood seats and tables in the split level bar area. 4 or 5 real ales, food at lunchtimes, good service.
