Next door to The Swan, but much more pubby ,there has been an internal refurb but well done in a rustic theme with some on trend lighting. The wooden portico gives access to the front of the pub with a banquette snug infront of a wood burner to the right but this is the most likely place that tables will be reserved for diners. There is an old style clock above the fireplace and it's all quite charming. On the left side is more numbered tables, while past the bar there is a one table alcove before the room opens out into a section with a large table running through the middle and bench seating elsewhere.Around the bar the ceiling is low and there is a lot of exposed timber showing the buildings age.
Although food is served from a good quality pub grub menu it doesn't dominate and locals do come in to quaff. There are 5 handpumps and we were told that Oakham Waimea (NBSS 3.5) GK Old Golden Hen (NBSS 2.5),Rebellion IPA and Smugglers were all regulars while the guest on our trip was Tring Hare of the Dog.A rather samey selection and little of any strength was a missed opportunity, but it's a good all rounder if in the area.Very friendly service.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Green Man

One of many very attractive, traditional buildings in the middle of Denham village, but inside this is much more of a 'local' than the adjacent Swan. The front room has small bar counter (and an open fire), with the main part of the bar leading to the larger rear room housed in a conservatory. Plain furniture and limited decor (apart from some signage displaying pithy sayings). Large split-level patio beer garden to the rear, rather spoilt by some unsightly transparent wind screens. Beer-wise, Greene King IPA, Old Speckled Hen, Pride and Marlow Rebellion Smuggler (£3.50) were available from the four handpumps.

Caravan at Denham as we are doing a crawl in London from here tomorrow so walked down to the village to explore the pubs. This was number 1 and they had 3 beers on tap and 1 guest from the cask standing at the back of the bar. London Pride was finished, Green King IPA, and Moreland (GK) Original were the other 2 on the bar, and Fullers Seafarers was the guest. We paid £3.10 for 2 halves. Pub was empty and no food being served till the evening pie and a pint night. No problems with the beer.

Small and very pleasant pub in one of the most idyllic villages in Southern England. Although this is only a couple of miles from the bustling town of Uxbridge it feels like you are a hundred miles from anywhere. Has 4 real ales on handpump and one, which is usually from the local Rebellion Brewery, direct from the cask. If you have the fish & chips make sure you are very hungry as it comes in huge portions!.A very pleasant 10 minute walk from the 331 bus route.Well worth a visit.
