GBG’23 listed, so out I schlepped. What a disappointment – a stark modernised place in white and grey with pine colour furniture. Loud TVs showing sod-all of any use. Two cask, Tetley and a middling (NBSS 2.5) Bombardier – WhatPub claims Batemans beers but none on so assume sold on since GBG publication? Some amusement value from the lads teaching a busty lass how to play pool, most of which involved her bending over a lot. 3.5

Thuck Phat left this review about The Crown Inn

A traditional Batemans house which has had the interior 'hollowed out' and modernised but which still feels very much like a locals local.
It was busy on our Tuesday evening visit with many glued to the footy being shown on a largish screen in the corner but the service remained efficient and there wasn't a noticeable wait for beer.
Beers were both from Batemans: England Expects and Skull and Hammers with the latter being in good shape and sliding down very well.
The local option in Littleport with, on our visit at least, the unusual find of a drinkable beer from Batemans.

Bucking Fastard left this review about The Crown Inn

A proper old school boozer, much used by the local community. The building is old too, although the interior is more modern with a seating area to the left finished off with a library effect on the far wall, while to the right is a small raised section with fitted benches and a flatscreen above. On a dog leg is a darts board .There are a few more tables in the corridor towards the car park , smokers gather here.
It's a Bateman's tied house with just two handpumps offering a seasonal England Expects (BBB) and a very decent Skull & Hammers which saved the night due to top conditioning.
The regulars were friendly and there was a split decision on which was the best curry house in town, and an enjoyable evening was had watching the footie and quaffing.
