The Jolly Farmer is now a halal steakhouse and ice cream parlour called the Grill.

This is a nice enough pub with a very friendly and jovial governor.

There are two bars with the ‘Village Bar' at the front that has a dart board, plasma screen and table football and the larger ‘Lampton Bar' at the rear that has a pool table, projector screen and leads to the beer garden.

This is a Courage house and there are three ale pumps, but unfortunately they are all hooked up to Courage Best. Fosters, Kronenburg, Stella, Strongbow and John Smiths Extra Cold are also available. There is also a selection of Peter's Pies on the bar in a glass warming case.

Brit Asia music channel was on the TV when I walked in, but as I was the only customer he switched it over to Sky Sports without me having to ask.

This is a good pub, but if at least one other real ale was put in and the Liverpool FC crap was taken off the walls it would be a great pub.
