Ah, the grand ol' DUKE OF YORK...! A grand name, for a not-so-grand pub! Maybe I'm being harsh, I've only ever been in here the once. I might not ever go in here again...unless I re-visit that fantastic curry house opposite (The Annapurna, a Nepalese restaurant) which is absolutely exquisite! Their curries are fantastic. So if you find yourself disappointed by the pub... nip across the road (Powdermill Lane) and have one of the best curries you'll ever taste! :o) There's a challenge for you, climb that mountain..! 4/10 for the pub tho' :o( TJ

This place is a good sized L-shaped pub with two dartboards, a pool table and plasma screens throughout for watching football on Sky. Whilst I was there on Wednesday afternoon there was a bit of inoffensive background music playing and all the screens were on showing a muted replay of a Championship play-off semi-final game and when this had finished a South American football highlights show was on leading me to believe the screens are never turned off. There is a fruit machine and quiz machine which went on the blink whilst we were playing it; thankfully the woman behind the bar had no problem in refunding us our money.

Only one of the three hand pumps were on so Courage Best was the only ale option alongside a standard draught selection. The food is very cheap pub grub that was OK for the cost, but you get what you pay for.

There is no problem parking as a large car park is at the rear and at the front there are picnic tables lined along the concreted forecourt. It’s not the best location though as the pub is next to a mini-roundabout on a busy road connecting Hanworth and Hounslow.

This pub is pretty much what one would expect from a pub with George Cross flags hanging in the windows and World Cup promotions everywhere, hence I would probably only use this place if I lived locally and I wanted to watch a match.
