Another Irish club type bar, has a members only sign behind the bar but seems to be open to all. I wouldn’t say it was unfriendly but I didn’t feel I wanted to hang around for too long or get chatting to anyone. A couple of dartboards and racing on TV.

This is an Irish shop conversion bar, as you can probably tell from the name. It can feel a little intimidating when you walk in, but if you give the locals the time of day they may acknowledge your existence. There's no real ale, but plenty of lager, John Smiths Smooth and Obviously Guinness.

There are a couple of screens and a projector to show any sport that happens to be on. There are also 2 dartboards; one of which is on a stage area at the rear. There was a super league dart match on during my visit and I found the team to be very friendly and humorous. Lots of food came out at the end of the night for the dart teams and everyone in the pub was allowed to tuck in.

There are a couple of benches outside the front of the pub for the smokers and a bus stop 10 yards away for an easy journey home.

I really enjoyed my visit here, but I’m not sure what I would have thought of the place if I had walked in on my own when the darts wasn’t on.
