Now some sort of antiques centre.

An old Victorian building that has been recently been refitted (at considerable expense I'd guess) and looks fairly good for it. There is outside seating, and the three pool tables hint at the demographic they're after. Basically this is a kids bar, although there is an explicit no Chav-wear policy on Fridays and Saturdays. Nothing for me, the token beer (Hobgoblin) was only fit to pour over fish and chips and the telly and music were both turned up against each other. The pub has a pretty poor reputation locally and if they can't attract more mature customers it'll probably stay that way. Fair to say I didn't hang round long and won't be back in a hurry. Rating 3

regular haunt, lived across road. used to be two separate bars. halcyon daze! recall being dj for a short stint. may the 4th b with you, space nite. also did gig in a band, remember the WAXE DOLPHIN? i was the one in a poncho smoking cigar on keyboards. ho hum.
