Bog standard standalone pub. Basically 3 roomed with a small room to your right on entering. Another room is also to the right and this houses a pool table. The rest of the pub is U-shaped with a central bar. Though there are 4 handpumps on the bar no real ale is available but there was, however, a blackboard advertising cask ales. To the rear is a beer yard. It wasn't that bad on my visit but unless I lived around I here I wouldn't be back.

Newly re-openned and tastefully refurbished the Primrose Vaults is probably the best looking pub in St Helens, Why not sit by the fire under the watchful eye of Sir Winston Churchill. Then enjoy a Cigerette of Cigar in the extensive outdoor beer garden and covered smoking area.
Landlord Ian says "the local community have really given us thier support since we re-openned and have been turning out in droves, what was a boarded up eyesore is now the center of thecommunity"
Great cheap beer prices and great local entertainment, "lookout for our monthly £1000 quiz2 says Ian
