A small and dark Irish pub that was hosting a quiz night during my visit, so it was packed. The quiz seemed very easy to me, but several of the teams were struggling. No real ale of course, so I had a half of fizz. It's not for me.

a great little pub that looks wonderful and inviting, inside and out. many of the Oirish boozers in Liverpool are tacky and tedious but this is a pleasing exception. the beer is fine despite the lack of real ale and it draws a vibrant younger crowd. Pogues were playing on this visit, but of course. it’s well worth a visit if you can bring yourself to put your Good Beer Guide down.

Real Ale Ray left this review about Shenanigans

We popped in here to watch the football, Ireland and Italy in the Euros. The pub was busy for the match, but not over full. The customer base on our visit was respectable. The older crowd tended to use the front bar area and the student drinkers preferred the large table and seating in the rear room. No real ale so went for the Kronenbourg, whilst Mrs Ale went for a decent pint of Guinness.
The interior was as expected, Irish themed.
The original exterior red glazed tiles and black granite columns and arched timber framed windows are a retained Victorian feature.

Called in 16th of April mid afternoon better inside than it looks from the outside nice irish lad behind the bar dont no weather he meant to be thick or just acting but what ever he was good at it and kept us all amused. Typical irish bar them allsorts on the walls.

Old Boots left this review about Shenanigans Pub

Very irish, very studenty, pub standing almost alone among the cleared remains of old Tithebarn Street. Darkly lit the walls and the bar counter are painted brick, there are a few battered old chairs and tables and the décor is posters, a few books, miscellaneous junk and a fine collection of old Guinness bottles (full!). It is split into two open plan rooms, the rear one without a counter but more in the way of decoration, including what looked like bags of cement! Irish music is advertised for Sunday nights. A small range of keg beers and a choice collection of Irish whiskeys are sold; I thought the Guinness was excellent and well served by a delightful young coleen.
