To reopen "early April" as a sports bar called Cheers Big Ears. Apparently on a couple of floors with different names, one floor being called The Top Darts bar.

probably the best pub in the Bold Street/Concert Square vicinity, this is your standard shiny ex Yates bar with cheapish beer and food. it generally has a pleasant atmosphere on an afternoon and far nicer than the Spoons next to it. beer wise look out for the four 'crafty' keg taps which have some interesting stuff along with the four handpumps - which sadly today had two ciders and Doom Bar. that left me with Wychwoods golden Christmas ale, a pleasant drink but a bit like beer flavoured juice.

Hobgoblin was on form and I quite liked this pub until a squawking kid ruined it for me. Took a point off for that.

Real Ale Ray left this review about The Crafty Chandler

The interior of the pub is modern in décor, with bright turquoise pastel walls and a set of booths on the left of entrance upholstered in a turquoise, which was very striking. The pub's layout is long and narrow with the bar area about half way on the right hand side. There was a staircase about mid section, which leads upstairs to a function room and downstairs to the loos. The pub was busy on our visit, with customers visiting for their food menu. Four Nationals on handpump, which were Hobgoblin, Thwaites Bomber, Thwaites Wainwright and Adnams Southwold. Prices in here were average and the staff were friendly and jolly.
