Visited on a Wednesday lunch time before Christmas. This is a large pub that does food and is right in the pedestrianised shopping area so was predictably fairly busy, but not packed out and tables were available.

At the bar, five hand pulls offering Hobgoblin Ruby and Hobgoblin Gold. One pump was clipped for Doom Bar but was turned round. The other two were labelled "coming soon" but had no clips to give any kind of clue as to what may be expected. However considering the rest of the line up I wouldn't be expecting anything too exciting. My Hobgoblin Ruby was £1.35 for a half, but didn't seem to be in the best of condition.

Various TV screens dotted around showing sports. The toilets were OK and modern.

This pub might be worth another look at some point but on this occasion my beer experience was not great.

A large open planned pub. Likes its football. Very traditional inside and slightly sprawling. Real ale is available but only just. Despite the promising 5 or 6 handpulls the only thing on was Bombardier. A decent traditional pub but for real ale you're much better off crossing the road to Stamps.
