I am the current land lady of The Riverview. It's a lovely traditional pub with beautiful views across the Mersey to the 3 graces. We have an extensive range of drinks to suit all palates, and we have excellent selection of home cooked freshly prepared food. You will receive a warm and friendly welcome thanks to the lovely staff working here. We have Karaoke Disco Friday's from 8. Come and take in the fantastic views and a great atmosphere this little pub has to offer.

Situated on a corner and overlooking Woodside Ferry terminal, the River Mersey and the Liverpool waterfront this pub is fine for a pint or a bite to eat but not really a long stay place. Its in 3 sections lengthwise with the servery central. To your right on entering is a raised area that looks out to the said views. To your left is another raised area where a pool table can be found. 2 handpumps on the bar but usually only 1 on (Old Speckled Hen).

As the name implies there are great views over the river to the 3 graces and also the U boat story. One main room with a raised area to the right with a range (not lit). Another raised area to the left. It's all quite pleasantly done. 3 handpumps on the bar, but only 1 clipped with Brakspear Oxford Gold, which was decent enough. We got the feeling that the people who were running it had only just taken over as they weren't very confident in anything they were doing. Not really worth a visit for the beer, but the views are great.

This is a well run room and you are made very welcome here. This is a decent sized two room pub, with the main bar facing you as you enter. The back room was mainly set out for dining. The bar counter had some interesting moulding along the front. There were three handpumps, two in operation serving up Bombardier and a Theakston. There was a specials blackboard displaying their food menu, which is served from 4 - 7.45pm. Some great views across the river here.

Excellent family run pub. Home cooked food which is the best in the area and a great atmosphere when you go. you are always made to feel welcome and they do a great xmas dinner as well.

My review is simply a note to be added to the review by Allan Carruthers on 2nd June 2008 - This was a review about The Worsley Arms. The River View was fully refurbished, thoroughly cleaned and re-opened on the 14th August 2009 - and is now a clean, friendly ant-free environment! Thanks! :)
