Handpulls removed so therefore no more real ale.

13/9/17:
Opened and not as good as it was. There are still 4 handpumps but the introduction of a pool table and incessant Kiss FM-type music being played has sort of done it for me. That said, its not really in an area thats going to survive without pool tables, crap music and dull people like me.

At the moment this pub has closed. It is, however, due to reopen next week (wb 11/4/17) with new owners.

This has now reopened as The Lion and been reinvigorated. A single room with the bar to your right on entering. 4 handpumps on the bar with the beers being Peerless Port Street Porter, Purple Moose Snowdonia Ale, Peerless Gold and George Wright Lion Returns. Hopefully this pub will do well but it is in a rather downtrodden and often neglected part of the town centre. Its nice, clean little pub and a welcome addition to the area. Best wishes to it.
