Alan Winfield left this review about The White House

The White House was a smallish pub that was on a busy road junction on the corner of laystall street and great ancoats street.
Once inside there were two rooms there was a basic bar and a decent lounge i had a drink in the bar.
The pub was a free house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Joseph Holts bitter and this was a really nice drink the other beer was Caines bitter.
This pub was a regular in the camra good beer guide.
Sadly this pub has been demolished and there is nothing on its site yet.
