A traditional styled pub with 3 small rooms and a main servery in the middle. Its not too bad a place though the banquette style seating could do with a spruce up but apart from that its not too bad. Lots of pictures of (I assume) the manager(?) meeting famous and semi-famous people. As noted before it does like its horsey sport. No real ale.

ROB Camra left this review about The Union Inn

A small main servery with 3 rooms off. All the rooms were small and shabby. Lots of sporting photos on the walls. This is a horse racing pub with lots of TV screens all showing the racing, there are even betting slips for all the local bookies on the fireplace. No real ale now, so I had to have fizz. It's a mess.

The Union Inn is in the centre of levenshulme on the very busy A6.
When i visited this pub it was a Boddingtons tied house and there were a couple of rooms inside that i noticed,i had a drink in the bar which was fairly basic and also busy, there were two real ales on here i had a drink of Boddingtons bitter and this was a very nice drink the other beer was Boddingtons mild.
This was a proper old pub that was unaltered when i went in it.

Pub visited 10/5/1991
