The Newmarket is a Holts run pub with a bar to the right with small seating areas in front and behind. To the left is a larger seating area with a couple of televisions that were off whilst some background music played from the jukebox. The bar supports four hand pumps that were drawing Holts Bitter (x2), Black and Smooth alongside the usual Holts keg.

Another Holts roadhouse. This one is much older than the nearby Nelson. The small taproom to the right was full of very sweary locals. There's also a small snug behind the bar and a larger lounge to the left. There's a jukebox, a dartbaord and several large TVs. Four handpumps on the bar but only Holts Bitter actually available, it was an OK drink. Not a pub for the faint hearted though.

A 3 roomed Holts pub. 2 small rooms either side of the bar and a larger lounge area to the left. It was a well kept pub and had only Holts Bitter as a real ale. A fairly basic though pleasant enough pub.

The Newmarket is an old looking stand alone pub that is on the busy bolton road.
Once inside the pub had three rooms with a smart lounge a more basic bar and a smaller games room,i had a drink in the bar which i found to be decent room to sit and have a dink in.
This pub is a Joseph Holt tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Holts bitter and this was a really nice drink the other beer was Holts mild.
I quite liked this pub and it is nice to see it still up and running.
