Steve C left this review about Lord Nelson

I visited the Lord Nelson early on a recent weekday evening when there were a few locals playing on the pool table in the right hand bar and another couple watching football in the larger square open plan left hand bar. Both Sky and BT Sports are shown. The three hand pumps on the bar were all badged with Holts Bitter and their keg range was also available. No dogs or children allowed.

ROB Camra left this review about Lord Nelson

A large 2 roomed Holts pub. The left hand room is a smart lounge, to the right is a much scruffier taproom with a pool table. There are several very big TV screens in the lounge. The only beer available on handpump during my Friday evening visit was Holts Bitter which was a decent enough pint. It's all fairly bland really. Two families with feral young kids chasing around didn't endear me to the place either.

Al Bundy left this review about The Lord Nelson Hotel

2 roomed Holts pub. The smaller room to the right houses a pool table. The larger lounge room to the left is a square room with a small stage to one side. This part was set up similar to a social club. Today it was popular with baffled looking old blokes staring at the carpet or the horses running on the telly. 4 handpumps on the bar in the lounge with Holts Bitter and Hat Trick available.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Lord Nelson Hotel

The Lord Nelson is a ordinary looking 70s built pub that is on the busy bolton road in what i consider to be Pendlebury.
Once inside the pub had a large smart lounge and a more basic bar which is where i had a drink, this pub is a Joseph Holt tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Holts bitter and this was as usuall a very nice drink the other beer was Holts mild.
I was quite happy having a drink in this pub.
