Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Jolly Carter Inn

Compact two-room J W Lees pub, with part of the bar area undergoing rebuilding work so almost all of the available seating was in the still traditional lounge to the left-hand side. Sadly, the solitary handpump is only now a "trophy" for display purposes, so went for the keg Bitter from the limited selection (that also included the Original and Manchester Craft lagers).

ROB Camra left this review about Jolly Carter Inn

One roomed Lees pub with several different areas. Loads of Tv's everywhere. There's a jukebox that was playing much too loudly although the music was good. There's also a small beer garden to the rear. All blokes in the bar at 5:30 on a Friday, except the barmaids, all wearing identikit uniforms of shorts and working boots. Only Lee Bitter on cask, but this was in good nick @ £2.75 per pint.

The Jolly Carter is on a main road and it is a Lees tied house.
I had a drink of Lees bitter which was very nice.

Pub visited 20 July 1989.
