Steve C left this review about The Grafton Arms

The Grafton Arms is a Holts pub with a covered fake grass seating area to the right beside the pub’s ‘GA’ sign, very hip! In the right side of the pub is the public bar that houses a pool table, dartboard and green banquettes that run up the right-hand wall opposite the bar counter. This supports four hand pumps that were all clipped with Bitter, the usual Holts keg is also available. The left hand bar has a counter up the right and there’s a stage at the rear where band stuff, such as a drum kit, can be found. Banquettes run along the front and left walls and televisions through were playing muted Sky Sports. I’ll probably walk past next time I’m in the area.

As described below by Mr C. Only 3 of the handpumps were being used on this visit. Though it is on the campus it was mainly senior citizens in this afternoon.

The pub sign shows this pub as being the GA which is crap, probably intended to appeal to students of which there are many around here. The rest of the signage is more correctly the Grafton Arms. A purpose built 80's pub with a large lounge to the left as you enter and a smaller tap room to the right. The lounge walls are covered with photos of old Manchester and there's a massive TV screen plus 3 others. In the taproom there's a pinball, pool table and a dartbosrd. 4 handpumps on the bar all serving Holts beer, but including one from Bootleg their micro brewery in Chorlton. The Bootleg was in good nick and was only £2.16 per pint. It's OK, but not one to go out of your way fo.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Grafton Arms

Large, modern(ish) two bar pub conveniently (or otherwise) located next to the Manchester hospitals complex... Actually, it was very quiet inside the one open bar and is obviously the only place that students from the nearby university quarter do not frequent. Basic furniture and plainly decorated, with just a couple of sports TVs to liven things up a bit. Holts Bitter and IPA (excellent value at £1.98) available from the two handpumps.
