The Fox is a large dry led pub, so there’s a large car park outside. The interior has wooden beams and exposed brick which gives off a farmhouse vibe. The long bar counter across the rear supports standard and premium keg as well as Beavertown’s Neck Oil and two hand pumps that were drawing Theakstons and TT Boltmaker. I wasn’t keen on the Boltmaker, but I’ve had it once before and wasn’t that keen then so maybe it’s the beer rather than the keeping. During a recent Tuesday evening visit the England v Scotland friendly was muted whilst some low background music played. It was quiet, in fact the overriding noise was the sound of cutlery and glasses being cleaned. This pub is a bit out of the way to warrant a revisit just for a beer again.

This is a nice local pub with great food in a separate dining area. Decent beer too.
