peter ashworth left this review about The Greenfinch

The Greenfinch is a converted Victorian mansion situated in West Didsbury close to a busy crossroads. It is a Marston's "Generous George" where the customers pay a penny less for there main meal and this is donated to the pubs charity chest. There is a large attractive beer garden at the front and inside a pizza kitchen and ice cream parlour.
On the beer front there was 4 cask beers on offer with the Wainwrights top notch. We were served by a team of friendly and welcoming bar staff and found the beer prices reasonable and also thought the food special offers were good value.

Alan Winfield left this review about Four In Hand

The Four in Hand is a very large stand alone pub that is situated on the corner of a busy road junction.
Once inside i went in a very large room that was divided into different areas this room was quite smart and geared up for diners, there may have been other rooms but i did'nt look.
The pub is a Banks's tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Banks's bitter and this was a decent drink the other beer was Banks's mild.
This was not really my sort of pub but as a drinker i was made just as welcome.
