The Dutton Arms is located across the road from the canal. Outside, along the front and right walls are patches of Astroturf that support some picnic tables and at the rear is a car park. From the outside this pub looked closed early on a Monday evening, but I have found that pubs in this area like to keep the front entrance locked whilst opening the side or rear doors. Absolutely no idea why!??
When the front door is open customers will find a front seating area to the right and the toilets to the left. Further into the pub is an L shaped bar on the right that faces three large seating areas that run across the rear of the pub. High arched ceilings denote these seating areas. The bar supports a standard keg rage alongside San Miguel. There is at least one oven behind the bar counter for cooking pies, pasties and sausage rolls for around the £1.20 mark. Couldn’t buy a cold sausage roll from my local Tesco down south for that price.
I spotted a couple of televisions, but they were both off and I didn’t see any Sky Sports advertisements. I also noted the presence of a jukebox, that was also off. I found the service to be polite, but I’ll not be rushing back here.

The Dutton Arms looks like a typical 30s built pub, that is in a quiet area of Eccles well away from the town centre.
I really dont lke the look of these types of pubs, but it had to be done while in the area.
Once inside there was decent sized basic bar, where i had a drink, the lounge looked smarter, but empty on my visit.
The pub used to be a Boddingtons tied house, there were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Oldham bitter which was a decent enough drink, the other beer was Boddingons bitter.
Not really my sort of pub,but ok for a quick drink.
