Steve C left this review about Dukes Gate

Dukes Gate is a large sprawling Holts pub with a large L-shaped front lounge with banquette seating throughout and a large vault at the rear that houses a pool table and dartboard. Televisions throughout were airing muted Sky Sports News whilst some loud background music played. It wasn’t very busy with less than ten locals present, but my visit was an hour or so before the weekly Wednesday night 20:00 quiz. Karaoke was advertised for Friday nights. All three hand pumps were badged with Bitter which was OK. The service was friendly, but this place is way too far out in the sticks to warrant a revisit.

The Dukes Gate is a decent sized 80s built pub that is at the bottom end of cleggs lane.
This pub was my reason for coming to Little Hulton,so i was well pleased to finally get in it.
Once inside there was a very smart and comfortable lounge and a decent bar,i had a drink in the lounge as this was the first room i noticed.
The pub is a Joseph Holt tied house, there were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Holts Bitter which went down very well, the other beer was Holts Mild.
This was yet another Joseph Holts house done, well pleased having done this one.
