Sadly this place is now a bit of a dump. It obviously used to be a smart pub, but it's now shabby. I had to push my way past some thuggish looking nicotine bouncers who weren't for moving on my way in. It didn't get any better once inside. There are two smallish rooms to the right as you enter served by a central bar. There's a pool table and a dartboard in the rear one. To the left there's a massive lounge with a DJ rig which for some reason was blasting out very loud music at 4 on a Friday afternoon. There are 6 handpumps on the bar, but as expected, none in use. I had a half of something fizzy and left. It's a desperate place now, so I really wouldn't bother if I were you.

The Cross Keys is an old looking pub that is close to Eccles train station but hidden away from it.
Once inside this pub was quite smart with plush carpets and comfortable seating,the pub was almost empty on our early Saturday dinner visit.
When we went in this pub it was a Bass tied house and there were two real ales on the bar we had a drink of Bass bitter and this was a nice enough drink the other beer was Stones bitter.
This pub was a bit to posh for us to feel comfy in.
