One of my lunchtime locals in the 70's & 80's. It was one of the few Bass pubs to serve traditional cask mild (by electric pump) which was always on good form. The bitter was keg only. In later years changed to the Blue Moon and had no real ale.

Alan Winfield left this review about Church Inn

The Church Inn was a back street locals pub that looked in decent nick when i went in it.
Once inside there was a small comfortable lounge and a decent basic bar i had a drink in the bar which was quite busy, this pub was a Bass tied house but there were no real ales on here i had a drink of keg Bass mild and this was drinkable but nothing special.
It is sad to see that this is another east Manchester pub to close down.
