Steve C left this review about The Bridge

The Bridge is a long and thin dimly lit pub with high tables in the front window and banquettes and sofas up the left wall faced by the bar counter up the right. Muted Bullseye was on the televisions and there was background music playing during a recent Tuesday evening visit. I didn’t venture upstairs but did note that pool and darts are advertised. Premium keg and Carling were available and I spotted two hand pumps, the Bombardier was off, but TT Landlord was on. The service was polite, but I don’t see myself returning.

This place is now just called The Bridge. It a long narrow pub that is bigger than it looks from outside. Wooden floored throughout with the bar to your right as you enter. Very modern feel to it despite it trying to look older. 3 real ales on the bar with Hopback Summer Lightning, Wainwright's and Hobgob on. Has 2 Athenian helmets above the bar. Why? No idea.

This pub is part of a chain of only 2 pubs, both in Manchester, the other is the Brunswick, hence the name. Sells Theakston Best and Old Peculiar plus Thwaites Bomber. The beer is usually OK but not first rate and often they only have one beer on. We call in here because it's a comfortable pub and the other half likes the wine. If you apply for a free B Lounge card you get 10% off at both pubs. There's a restaurant area at the rear. The whole place gets full of suits around 5 - 7. It's a pretty average place all round.

Came here after a meal across the road and was somewhat surprised to find Theakston Best and Thwaites Bomber. Both of which I tried to order and was subsequently told were off, which wasn't a great start. A couple of suits who had obviously been in there since knocking off work were dancing around, absolutely smashed. Not many other punters in, and there's a reason for that: Deansgate has much, much better.
