Steve C left this review about The Pit Stop

The Pit Stop has a central bar counter with a public bar in the right where a pool table resides and mostly standing room in the left with seating at the rear. In the front to the left of the entrance is a room with curved banquette booths. Standard and premium keg is available alongside draught Smirnoff cocktails and a frozen cocktail machine sat on the bar ready for the weekend. Unsurprisingly there was dance music playing during my recent midweek visit, although the few locals in attendance seemed more interested in playing the fruit machine. The service was polite, but this pub isn’t aimed at me, so I’ll not be returning.

This still has the sign outside saying its The Bowling Green but apparently its now called The Music Lounge. Multi-roomed with a central bar. A pool room is to the right on entering though it looks like you have to walk around the bar to access it. To the left and side of the bar are 3 rooms to sit in. No real ale though the beer is reasonably cheap.

Inside The Bowling Green you will be greeted with the usual family atmosphere and friendly staff that are pleased to serve you any of their vast array of drinks. They also have 2 pool tables, Big Screen TV, car parking, beer garden and a function roo

Alan Winfield left this review about Hughes's Bar

When i went in this pub it was called the Bowling Green.
This pub is situated on the busy manchester road and is close to the shops, the pub looked quite nice from the outside with the lower half having brown tiles.
Once inside the pub seemed pretty much unaltered with a couple of rooms that i noticed,i had a drink in the bar which was a very nice room to sit and relax in over a pint.
When i went in the pub it was a Wilsons tied house and there were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of John Smiths bitter which was on handpump this was a very nice drink the other beer was Wilsons bitter.
This was a proper pub and i quite liked it in here.
