Massively changed since this pubs days as the Astley Arms. All nicely refurbished, but with a loss of all the character that it used to have. Two pool tables, karaoke on Fridays, quiz on Sundays, loads of small TV's all showing Neil Diamond in concert for some reason on my Friday, early evening visit. It's now a very, very bland and sterile place. WhatPub says 5 ever changing guests, but only 2 handpumps were clipped. My pint has a very strong taste of diacetyl, probably bad brewing rather than the pubs fault, but I couldn't finish it. On this showing I'll not be visiting again.

Called in the first Monday after the Metro link had opened two little kids sat at the bar on bar stools screaming the place was cold and half the lights out not very inviting had half of some sort of smooth and left wont rush back people not friendly
